APLA, Los Angeles, CA
Humanity was commissioned and installed in 2022.
Conceptually I played with the idea of sameness within our differences, which inspired the idea for a fingerprint pattern.
I wanted the mural to have a warmth for the LGBTQ+ community and the community surrounding APLA.
APLA wanted an abstract design that made the community feel welcomed, I decided on gender neutral silhouette & a fingerprint pattern.
We all have fingerprints regardless of our difference. We are all the same essentially, we are all human.
The colors chosen, were the APLA brand colors and I used a blending technique to create a united undertone.
