VISUAL ARTIST

I am Kim Gaeta, a Mexican-American female artist based in Los Angeles, with a focus on creating work that explores what unites the human condition with the natural world, the parallels between nature and social justice, and the interconnectedness of community. My artistic practice, which spans in assemblage art, ceramics, illustration and public works, is grounded in cultural history, floral, fauna, folklore, and symbolism. My images are often surreal and focused on symbolism within nature. 

I am also a commercial designer whose work spans photo art direction, branding, packaging, book covers, & illustration. I have worked with local and global brands including Lululemon, Chamberlain Coffee, Mohawk Bend, APLA, TOMS, Quay, Drybar, Costa Brazil and more. I hold a BA in Art from the CSUF.
